I LOVE ELON. I LOVE BOOKS. BOOKS ARE MY ONLY FRIENds1!

Just an Update for yinz !!!11

Recently I have finished my "favorite book ever." However, this book is no longer my favorite. This is all due to the terrible ending. It was all good up until then. However, the book had to do me like this. I will no longer be reading anymore of Angela Cervantes's work. I suggest reading the book, but only up to page 160.

I have also been taking a gander at other blog posts. I feel that I give more explanation with my blog posts. I have been reading and following my new favorite blog. This blog is run by Conner it is called "Title." I like his style of writing. It is straight to the point, and I like how he gives spoiler alerts. It is something that I need to look into doing. However, our styles are completely different. I like to explain my thought process while writing, but Conner just likes giving out facts. I feel that I prefer his method at time.

I also have discovered a FANTASTIC method of finding new books on Booklikes and I suggest you try it out. This method is following a bunch of people and reading their blogs. I know it might sound crazy but there are a lot of people trying to run a successful blog like mine, so they're reviewing books. They might just review your next favorite book. So try it out!

Catch ya on the flippity flip!

Angela Cervantes (The #1 Author)

Angela Cervantes

Angela Cervantes is the best author I have read within the realistic fiction genre. I believe she is the best author within this genre because of her experience with the subject involved, middle school. She has experience with this subject because she used to be a middle school teacher. This provides a different perspective on the genre because most authors were never teachers. She understands what the students go through, the drama, and how the teachers act. Not many authors in this genre are the same. Another great thing about Angela is that she is trying to teach the youth that is reading her novels by putting in lessons into her books (see previous blog post or information). Due to this the kids that read her books are learning important life lessons and learning by reading. Angela Cervantes is truly the best author.

"Bisabuelo, at my age you were fighting in Europe and saving lives. I haven't saved anyone"
Allie, First at Last - Angela Cervantes

This quote comes from the book Allie, First at Last, and shows readers of the book how the main character, Allie, thinks of herself.

Allie comes from a family of very successful kids. Whether it be her well-rounded sister, or her soccer super-star brother someone her family is always winning something, except her. This really gets to her head and she decides to devote all her time to a volcano for the science fair at her school. After she makes it all she goes to present it, however someone puts slime in it causing her to not win. This upsets her a lot and this is where the quote comes from.

"Bisabuelo" is Allie's grandfather, and she admires him greatly. In the quote her grandfather is attempting to make er feel better after her loss of the science fair. However, Allie has a perception that her grandfather was doing so much at her age, even if he wasn't. This shows the reader that Allie thinks she is inferior to everyone (even if it isn't true).

This quote not only shows reader how Allie thinks of herself, but gives them a good life lesson. That life lesson is that not everyone is so amazing. Sometimes people think this and causes them to think so lowly of themselves, and when people think this low of themselves it makes it harder to achieve what their goals.

So take away this from my blog. Don't think of yourself so low. You can do anything if you think you can.

My fav book!

Allie, First at Last - Angela Cervantes

I am a reader of sci-fi but I do like realistic fiction sometimes. I chose this book because it got good reviews. I have recently read call of the wild.

Allie, First at Last is my new favorite book!!

This book is about a girl who isn't talented but is in a talented family. So she feels ashamed because she never receives any trophies. This book doesn't connect with me because I am great at everything that I do. Do you connect with it? Have you read this book? Are you going to read it? Let me know! I highly suggest it
